The Pensions Trust has made an MPEG version of its popular report available on its website. Here, members will be able to listen to the report 'on line' and follow on screen with large print if desired.
This innovation is in addition to the successful audio version of The Pensions Trust's, summarised annual review (for year ending 30 September 2004) which was introduced three years ago. All members automatically receive a printed version, with the CDs and special large print hardcopies available on request free of charge.
The review was recorded at the Royal National Institute for the Blind, who are members of the Trust, and the voice has once again been provided by Carole Boyd, famous for playing Linda Snell in Radio four’s 'The Archers'.
Richard Stroud, CEO of The Pensions Trust, stated "We take our responsibility to our members very seriously. All of our members are very important to us and it is imperative that everyone receives the same level of service. We continuously strive to develop new tools to help us achieve this and we are delighted that our audio annual summarised review has been such a huge success."
The Pensions Trust's new website was built to fully comply with accessibility guidelines developed through the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium.
