Karen Parry officially took up her position at the beginning of this year as Head of Compliance for The Pensions Trust following the retirement of her predecessor, John Coy.
Karen joined The Pensions Trust as a Client Manager in May 2000. Since then she has also worked as Product Development Manager, with responsibility for The Pensions Trust's Final Salary Schemes. Before joining The Pensions Trust, Karen worked in the administration department of Pensions & Benefit Services Limited. Karen is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute and an OPAS advisor.
As Head of Compliance, Karen will ensure The Pensions Trust is compliant with the Trust Deed and Rules and pensions legislation. As well as making sure the Trust maintains its high standards of compliance, accountability and governance, she will also be responsible for conducting compliance audits and organising Director training sessions. Karen will work closely with the Chief Executive, Richard Stroud, but has a direct reporting line to the Board.
John Alleston, Chair of the Board, said "Having been with The Pensions Trust for almost five years Karen is already very familiar with how we operate, our mission and our beliefs. She is a very clear thinker and we are confident that she will develop her new role with all the enthusiasm and professionalism that we have come to expect from her".
