The Pensions Trust issues 'speaking popular report'

Issued: 10 June 2004

The Pensions Trust has produced an audio version of its Annual Review – the summary of its Annual Report for the year ending 30 September 2003.

The spoken popular report has a playing time of around 22 minutes. Produced as a CD, this has been provided to members on request. No charge is made for this additional service. The printed Annual Review, of which 110,000 copies were issued, is also available in a large type version.

Commenting on this innovation, Richard Stroud, The Pensions Trust’s Chief Executive said: "We take our responsibilities towards our members very seriously and are always looking for ways to improve our service. This CD gives blind and visually impaired members the same access to information about their pension scheme as their fully-sighted colleagues."

The CD was produced in collaboration with the Royal National Institute for the Blind. The voice on the CD will be familiar to fans of Radio four’s 'The Archers' as that of Carole Boyd who plays Linda Snell.
