The Pensions Trust IT Analyst in Top Award Final

Issued: 24 September 2004

Nicholas Eggleton, analyst programmer at The Pensions Trust, has reached the final four of The British Computer Society’s Young Practitioner of the Year Awards. There were over 80 entrants in the first stage. The four finalists were required to make a presentation to a panel of judges on 13 September and the winner will be announced at a ceremony at The London Hilton on 19 October.

Nicholas joined the Trust five years ago as a data entry clerk. Today he is responsible for the development and maintenance of a number of core in-house applications. In particular, Nicholas pioneered the development of the Trust's bespoke Post Tracking System which has delivered significant improvements in efficiency and customer service. It was his contribution to this project which secured his spot as an awards finalist.

Speaking about his young protégée, Jon Kelly, IT Development Manager at The Pensions Trust said: "Nick is widely respected and is acknowledged as a technical guru. We have high hopes for him within the company and congratulate him on reaching the final four of these prestigious awards. We will, of course, be keeping our fingers crossed for him."
