What did you do before joining The Pensions Trust?
Prior to my appointment at the Trust (November 2007) I worked as a Software Test Analyst for a multinational motor auctions company (Manheim Auctions from June 2003).

What attracted you into your role?
Ever since I was a small child I have always been more interested in seeing how my toys worked, rather than playing with them, and often found myself ‘in the dog house’ for breaking just about everything. Getting paid for it as an adult seemed like the only logical choice.
What attracted you to join The Pensions Trust?
In terms of staffing my previous employer was very large, as was the Team which I worked. When I came for my interview at The Pensions Trust the scale of the operation and the responsibility that would be bestowed upon me as the Test Analyst for all of the Trust was the opportunity I had always wanted.
What training have you been through?
Currently I am an ISEB certified Software Test Analyst. I plan to take my SQL skills further so that I may provide cover in other areas should the need arise and this will also add another string to the Team’s bow.
What do you like about working at The Pensions Trust?
I particularly enjoy the Team I work with and the flexibility the Trust provides us when it comes to doing our work. For me, a flexible approach is extremely important as it allows me the creativity needed to be the best Test Analyst I can be, at The Pensions Trust or anywhere.
